Breach of Contract regarding Custom Made Gown

Case Description
Curious to know if I would have a case - I paid for a custom made gown, tried it on the a.m. before I flew home, they hemmed it & steamed it & I collected it that afternoon. The next day it was WAY too small & the hem was crooked. I had 4 days before I left for Africa & was forced to buy a different dress. The company is only willing to refund 1/2 of the money & they want to keep the dress. I would like compensation for the 1st & 2nd dress, the flights to/from Vancouver, interest on the credit card, meals, accommodations & for the additional stress - I have cancer & can not handle this! Can you advise me if I have a case to win? Thank you!
