Broken Glass found and swallowed in Restaurant

Case Description
My son spent hours in emergency this past weekend
after accidentally swallowing broken glass in a slushy drink in a restaurant in Sherbrooke. X-rays showed internal damage and a small piece of glass in his intestines. He now has blood in his stool. The restaurant did not act or try to find the source of the broken glass.What are my son's rights and what is the restaurant responsibility in finding the source as well as minimizing the risk of this happening to other patrons.
