Case Description
I ran a red light 6 yrs ago and now it's going to court in october. The lady I hit (driverside) suffered a broken hip and pelvis, She is no longer working and is asking for 1.7 million. My insurance only covers me for 1 million. What are the chances of her recieving over the 1 million and how will I be expected to pay for this?? Is claiming bankruptcy an option? I'm 24 yrs old and it happened when I was 19, I was late for work and not paying attention, it was a complete accident that I feel horrible about. But does one mistake make me eligible for a life long payment to someone?? Will I lose my house and vehicles? What will happen to my credit??
