Case Description

My daughter was born in Feb 2008, in Nov 2009, I separated from my common-law spouse after months of psychological and physical abuse. He is a very vindictive person and will play tit for tat if he doesn't get his way. He refuses to tell me where he lives, which is my right to know and seldom (or at least hasn`t paid child support since June). All he wants is to see his daughter every other weekend, but he never calls or asks to speak to her or anything like that. She only exists if she with him or if he knows she was sick when she was with him.

I tried talking to him about going to family mediation but he`s not interested. I will now have to put a request for sole custody and child support. Now, January 2010, I will most likely be engaged by this summer to a man that I've known for the past twelve years. He is from Florida and we are talking about moving to Texas after we get engaged.. married. I can anticipate the drama this will cause and the resistance from my ex. I need legal advice on my options and my move to texas.
