Case Description
I have been married for more then 9 years now and together with my husband we have a 5 years old little girl. For some time now me and my husband can’t get along and we have big disputes most of the time. Because we both love our daughter very much we try to keep it down, but the situation is very unstable. My husband also started to drink more and more so this adds to the situation. This has been going for 3 years now and I don’t want to live this way anymore. I want to divorce, but I am afraid that if I am the one who wants to end this marriage I will lose the right to keep my little girl. I am from Ottawa but I have been living since I’ve been married in my husband’s house in Vancouver. My intention is to file for divorce papers and move back with my family. What do you advise me to do?
