Case Description

I recently purchased a 1978 gmc truck from the USA through E-Bay. The advertisment stated that the engine was new. I flew into the USA and drove the vehicle back to Canada. I brought it to my mechanic and there is serious problems with the engine and it is most definately not new.
So I contacted E-Bay because the vehicle is covered by their Vehicle Protection Program. There response is that due to the age of the vehicle it is not covered for any issues related to the engine. I emailed them the copy of the VPP that I read prior to purchasing the vehicle and pointed out that there was no age stipulation for coverage. There reply to me is that copy is no longer valid as of October 1st 2009 and the vehicle was listed after that date.
