Case Description
we have been together since Feb '05, married since Nov '07, we are poor, unemployment for me in the states (simply no jobs available in my area) and he is a carpenter so is laid-off every winter. We cannot afford the fees to file for my and my son's permanent residency to come to canada and cannot afford an immigration attorney to help either. We fear we will end up spending our entire marriage living apart. If granted permanent residency, we would be 3 working individuals living in 1 household instead of trying to maintain 2 homes and barely getting by. Our financial situation would improve tremendously, as would our emotional well-being. We have no criminal back-ground, are healthy and I have a degree in Human services. Both my son and I have some work experience in advocacy for adults with developmental disabilities and I feel we would do well in filling those shortages in Canada. We need an affordable attorney that will help us.
