Case Description
I was walking home from a party about 3 am. I had been drinking, my BAC was 0.16 or so... I can't remember exactly. It wasn't outrageous. I was beaten for 20 minutes over a distance of about 250 metres, I was 20 metres from my apartment when it started. I was beaten because I am white, a minority here. A group of people stopped to help me (by this point, I don't remember anything) and I drove away in their car. I crashed into (of all places) the RCMP station. The two guys that beat me admitted to it, but said it was because I said something racist to them (not the case, I can remember that much). The RCMP told me they would be charged with assault, but they never were. I've been charged with Over .08, Impaired causing bodily harm (there was someone passed out in the back of the car that I "borrowed"), and theft over 5k. Need lawyer to fight charges.
