Case Description
Fell on ice landing on my hip on the 28th of Jan. Went with 911 on the 29th, had x-rays, and was told it was 3 - 2 whether it was broken, stayed overnight to have a scan. Told there was nothing more they could do for me as I had torn ligaments, was given a follow up appointment for 2 weeks later. More X-rays, was told I needed immediate surgery to repair my broken femer,(a pinning) which was done on 13 Feb. It has now been 8 1/2 months since the fall, still no therapy, and definitely not walking well, not to mention the pain. Every day is a struggle. Obviously someone dropped the ball in my case. I am now making an appointment with another surgeon (who specialises in hips). hopefully he'll have some answers for me. Mistakes have been made and someone should be held accountable.
