Case Description

I suffered a lot ever since I had my baby girl and all to me was avoidable and comes down to medical negligence. It has been emotionally and physically draining. I am still trying to recover and my daughter is almost a year old. It has been 11 months and haven't been able to have a normal life yet. (Still can't be intimate with my husband because it hurt so bad) I hope that you can help me out and see if I have a case.
I do have a more detailed draft of everything that happened to me ever since the birth of my daughter. Here is my case description:

Failure to detect and properly treat an infection after my baby was born AND not following up about severe pain and discomfort felt after the birth of my baby. First my family doctor sent me home with a stomachache even though I gave him specific symptoms and ended up in emergency at the Peter Laugheed Hospital the next day. Then for the pain I felt, Doctor without remorse said it was normal and I was to stay like that permanently instead of sending me to a specialist. I ended up going to Mexico twice exclusively for treatment for these issues: To treat the infection back in March 2009. Then having surgery on October 1st, 2009 for a reconstruction of my genitalia since it wasn't taken seriously by doctors in Calgary and they kept saying I should give it time to heal when it was never going to without someone making it right so it could heal properly.
I had more than one doctor check me in Calgary and no one admitted there was something wrong. They kept sending me home with no answers. It is not fair for me to be paying for health care every month when they won't provide the right services when I really need them. On top of everything now I have to overcome this terrible experience/trauma. I keep thinking if I am ever having more children as I once wanted to. I can't trust doctors any more!.

As a consequence I could not breast feed or take care of my new born daughter for months since infection wasn't treated properly and took a long time before it went away. While "treated" in Calgary I wans't treated properly and I relapsed and felt worse than when I first had the infection.
Had a vaginal delivery. It should have been a C-section since the moment they knew my baby wasn't in the right position and her heart rate kept dropping. Doctors made use of forceps and a big tear came from that and was stitched up wrong. They made me wait 8+ months and had to walk in pain for that period of time. It has been almost 11 months and I am still in recovery. And this only possible thanks to caring doctors in Mexico and a lot of money from our own pockets. NOT FAIR!!
I was lucky to have a choice to go to Mexico and have surgery, but what about all those girls that don't have one and trust the doctors when they say they have to stay in pain for the rest of their lives.
