Case Description

My daughter lived with me until she was 3 due to problem with living arrangement I moved back home with my mother with my daughter. due to my work hours she spent most of her time with her Father he took me to court and we agreed to joint custody but her primary residence at her fathers. He moved his girlfriend and her two kids into the home which right off the bat affected my daughter and her time with her father he then had two more kids with this girlfriend. During this time the fathers girlfriend has been abusing my daughter with in the last year has started become more and more physical. F A C S has been involved with the family on more then one occasion. He and his girlfriend broke up December 2008 and he called them on her because of abuse himself. which we was granted that all the kids live with him even the ones that were not his. They then got back together and ever since then anything that happens in the house my daughter has been made the scape goat. in Dec 2009 the girlfriend hit my daughter with a knife in the back of the head. F A C S asked if she would be able to stay with my during the Christmas holidays until they can finish the investigation. she went back Christmas day. What came of this was they put into plan a way that should Harley not feel safe of has been abused she would be able to leave. well on January 26th the girlfriend slapped my daughter so hard in the face she gave her a nose bleed when my daughter tried to leave the house she was forced to stay and was even kept from school the next day. I picked her up on friday and she told me the story about what happened and I contacted F A C S emergency line and they asked me to keep her until Monday February 1st 2009 which I did. Her F A C S worker went out to see her and called me and told me to come and pick her up that she is not to go back to the house. The worker went and had a meeting with the Father and they came up with a game plan that would have him at home at all times while she is there, that she would not be left alone with the girlfriend. This was the agreement before. Her worker called me today to advise to me that Harley is to go back to her father on Monday February 8th.


What I need help in is getting my daughter a lawyer so she has a voice to tell a judge that she does not want to go home that she wants to live with me and only visit her father
