Case Description
My son passed away about a year ago. He didn't live with us.. But because I was his next of kin and applied for his death benefit... I'm getting stuck with all his debt. He had no will. He had nothing but a box of clothes. The gov't is phoning me to pay off his back income tax... 7,ooo.oo .. and I don't know how many other things he owed. A gov't. official said I put his estate in probate.. I'm really not sure how to do that, or is that what I should be doing that. I need legal consultation on my next options.
