Recent seperation with one child

Case Description
I have recently seperated from my husband after a 6 year relationship. I moved out Nov 1st with our son, who is almost 2. My husband visits but we have not made any formal arrangements. He currently pays the full cost of daycare and I pay everything else. There is no sign of reconcilliation so I am looking for infomation on how to procede. Also, we have no joint assets. The house that we lived in together is owned by him and is currently on the market. It was purchased while we were engaged and by the time we actually moved in we were married. I would need to know what my rights are concerning that as well.
We are still very close friends and have good communication. I am only looking for a fair seperation and a fresh start.
