Case Description

I got a new job, the first two months I advanced very quickly, with record numbers, and nothing but praise from all my superiors, I became in line for a promotion by the second month. The interview for which went perfectly, I was praised and it was confirmed to me that big things were on there way for me in this company. I worked twelve hours a day six and seven days a week, because they needed it. I was hired swampers to work directly below me, and i was raised above the people hired with me, at my level, and put in a middle position where i directly relayed the management objectives to the staff for each shift. One of my biggest supporters was my supervisor, with who i had little to no direct contact. Their constant verbal praise as we passed each other and on my behalf to our superiours was our only real form of contact. After my interview for a supervisory position of my own, this changed. My own supervisor whent out of thier way to try to wait for me as I was leaving work, find me alone in the lunch room, or any other corner of the warehouse. The comments praising my work, changed to comments praising me, i was immediatly uncomfortable, and didnt engage in the game being played. My direct supervisor was continualy dissrispecting me with sexual advances, subtle and not. EVERY time, i would disengage, by abruply ending the conversation, or immediatly standing and walking away. There was never at any time any signal sent by myself other than, NOT INTERESTED. Eventualy this came to a head when i was eating lunch one day alone in the lunch room. My supervisor came in, and stood uncofortably colse to me, leaned across me and asked what i was reading, i said just a magazine, the i was asked if the seat next to me was available, i said help yourself, I am leaving. As i stood up i was told how ovious they had been making thier intentions, and how it would be in my best interest to be acomadating to what they wanted. i made i disgusted face and pulled away, and left the lunch room to go call my spouse. oh yes, my supervisor was very aware of the fact I am happily married. (pictures all over my locker and clip board) After this rejection, i became a walking target, everyday for ten dys I was tormented, I was publicly humilliated, while my supervisor called me every name in the book in front of all my co workers, . including being accused of time theft, and blaitent disregard for copany policy, avery bad thing you can say about someones work and work ethic, my supervisor sid about me. When i finaly couldnt take any more, (after the third straight day of constant fictional incidents, getting me in trouble) I asked pls could this stop, or if i needed to be repremanded could it pls come from on of the other supervisors. I asked my ops MANAGER this. My manager being a big fan of my supervisor said no, that they had every right to confront me on whatever, wherever. MY promotion was squashed, and each ream-out by my supervisor got worse, and now i was being threatened at the end or each one to be fired. I went to my ops manager again and told him how personal this felt, and how it had stared, and why. He got very mad at me, and told me to NEVER bring that up again, and to NEVER talk about that agin, its the past, and it has to stay there. While all this was going on, my payroll was being messed with by my supervisor too, I hadnt been paid for a large amount of work, and went to my my supervisor, and was told to bring my paperwork on it in on monday, alought they new all to well, and i didnt at the time, if it wasnt dealt with and put into the computer by saterday, it would be another two week till i got paid, i was contuinualy jerked around and it took six weeks to finaly get they money i was owed for that time. Anyways back to the main, I finaly went back to my manager, and asked again if we could all work together to get a resolve here because the constant termination threats were really stressing me out. I was told a meeting was set up for myself, my supervisor, and my ops manager, and i was clearly told to leave the past in the past and the only thing i was allowed to disscus was the incidents where i had been yelled at recently. Hesitating, i had no choice but to say okay fine, as long as it was going to stop. When i arrived at the meeting the next day, it was not with my supervisor, it was with my ops manager, myself and human resourses, I was being asked to basicaly tell my story to save my job, but my manager had demanded i not bring up the reason all this was happening, so i was put in a awful position. I told human resourse (who also happens to be very friendly outside of work with my supervisor) that i just wanted the conflict to stop at this point. anyway long story short. Next day i came in and my supervisors closest friend was my new trainer on a new system, when i asked my manager if the person traiing me was the person i thought it was, my supervisors close friend outside of work, I was told yes, and that there better not be any problems. I was treated badly by this girl training me all day, then some hours into my shift, I was fired. I was told they were firing me because i wouldnt get along with this girl because of her relationsahip with my supervsor, and they didnt want conflict. I was on three month probation, so i am aware they didnt need a reason to let me go, but I was being promoted, I had a Perfect record, and was doing the best out of all the new hires practicaly. Everyone was shocked when i was terminated, and the general thought was, if someone working as hard as me could be let go what hope did the rest of them have. Onlty a few ppl knew what was really happening because they had seen some of the interaction between myself and my supervisor and put it together. My supervisor came on to me, I stood up for myself ans said NO, then i was yelled at daily, and threatened with termination. So i took it to my manager, who got angry at me and told me i better not bring that up in the meeting, which i was shocked to see i had been lied to about who would be there, so i was told to not tell the truth to human resourses. Then , i was terminated for a bogus reason. I had great numbers, and a great recors, i was even one of three that got an interview for a promotion out of like 70 that appplied, but i was fired because i tolf them what was happening to me, and i was instructed to lie about it, there was never any investigation into my supervisors behavior, and i just feel it was all handled so wrong, and it was all just so wrong anyway. Pls tell me if the law agrees.
