Case Description
My mother has permanant guardianship of my 6 year nephew. My brother the father and his girlfriend have addictions and steady getting into trouble with the law. The mother has takened my mother to court to get her son back and failed due to the fact that she did not show up for court. Now I think my brother is going to do the samething! Since the child was born he was missed cared for by the parents and for fear of his health my mother took him in at the age of 2. I have helped my mother care for him for the past 4 years and have been a positive impact in the childs life. I just need to know what can I do to be able to legally adopt my nephew? I know for financial gain my brother and his girlfriend will not consent to this.
