Case Description

Recently my 14 year old Daughter and I took our sick 6 year old Chow Chow "Diamond" to the Vet because she was omitting and was severely bloated and was in a lot of pain.
The Vet examined her manually, looked at her chart history, gave her a shot for the vomiting and gave me medicine to give her, told us not to allow her to eat or drink and if she didn't get better to bring her back the next day. We brought her back the next day DEAD. She died at 3:00 am in my arms in severe pain. We insisted they do a post mortem and it showed she died of a twisted stomach. A simple xray would have showed this according to the Dr that performed the post mortem. We looked her symptoms up on the internet afterwards and almost every site said that this was the suspected problem and it would be considered a medical emergency. The Vet should have caught this and didn't. We would like to see consult a lawyer and litigate this matter. Steve and Laura Maloney Thank you
