Case Description

In 2004 i was injured at work ,lower back pain,which was reported to supervisor,i was taken to emergency and received medication for pain and told to take a week off work.When i arrived at office the owner was mad that i said at hospital i did it at work.Ithen filled out accident report and went home i was in serious pain had to crawl around apartment and using the toilet was lots of fun.I went back to work 2 weeks later was still in pain but i had bills to pay,only worked one day then when i went to office for pay argument with owner ensued and was fired.WSIB refused benefits i appealed and was denied due to co workers statement that i was not injured at work and came to work complaining of a sore back that morning after the weekend.Iaccepted that decision although i knew it was false,I didnt know what else to do .Well recently i bumped into employee who made that statement ,he told me he was coached by owner to say this and in fear of losing job did so ,he apoligized and said if i persued this he would testify and also there is another witness as well.Since that injury i have been in pain,not everyday severe pain where i cant walk every 4 months or so iam layed up for 2 weeks then go back to work.The condition has detiorated and i have an appointment with a back specialist in one week and a MRI sheduled for April, I am looking for any legal help on this. Thank you.
