Time for class action law suits against toy companies?
With all the toys and jewellery recalls annoucnced by Health Canada I think there might be a good chance that class action law suits may come up with these companies.
Right now they're doing studies on how much lead is absorbed by Canadians and a look into these toys and jewellery. Maybe they should have done some initial checks rather than wait till these things hit the market and then recall them.
I think these companies trying to find cost effective ways disregard the ethical motive on providing safe good rather than contaminated goods. More regulations needed here and I wont be suprised or feel bad for these companies when and if they do get sued till they go bankrupt.

hey your on the right track but nothing in the business world is done with any thought as to what will happen in the future such as if the products are bad for us or defective. These companies are not held responsible for their damages and only consider what kind of profits they can make in the next quarter. I think our government should be more regulatory and disallowing any importing or manufacturing of any goods that cause environmental or human damages. our government should also enforce rules that products have to be able to be returned to the company that manufactured it for recycling when the product has expired.
These types of rules would ensure that products would be of quality and lessen the effect on our environment.
but that makes too much sense right !!!
